SANITAS BREWING COMPANY ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING
August 29, 2013 – Sanitas Brewing Company, central Boulder’s highly anticipated new brewery, has announced its Grand Opening on Friday, September 6th.
“After months of planning and construction, we’re excited to finally welcome people into our brewery and Tap Room,” said cofounder Zach Nichols, “We were really focused on creating a new destination for Boulder. The brewery is going to be a very unique place for visitors of the area to experience, but locals will especially enjoy the centrally located Tap Room and hopefully make it a frequent destination for years to come.”
Located at 3550 Frontier Avenue, just a couple blocks East of Whole Foods, Sanitas Brewing Company’s building includes a contemporary Tap Room exposed to the brewing operations and a spacious three-season patio with mountain views. The outdoor area is complete with cornhole and bocce ball sets as well as an extension of Pearl Street’s favorite food cart, McDevitt Taco Supply. The taco gurus have stationed a full time cart at Sanitas’ biergarten allowing brewery visitors to enjoy “heady tacos” with their handcrafted beers.
“The McDevitt Taco Supply crew is amped to be pairing up with Sanitas Brewing Company,” explained owner Bradford McDevitt, “not only does the Biergarten cart open up food options for brewery visitors, but we also have plans to collaborate on future dinners and beer pairings.”
Sanitas Brewing Company will have several different and distinct beers on tap for the opening. The owners express cans of their Saison and Black IPA should hit local shelves in a few weeks and a rotation of draft offerings could start appearing on area taps even sooner.
“We’ve had great success brewing on our new system,” said cofounder Michael Memsic, “I’m really pleased with the beers we’ve made thus far and I think people are going to find them unique and enjoyable.”
The doors will open at 3pm Friday and the festivities will continue until 10pm. Following opening day, Sanitas Brewing Company will be open Tuesdays through Friday from 3pm to 10pm, and noon to 10pm Saturdays and Sundays. Free, daily brewery tours will be held at 5pm. The Sanitas owners invite everyone to visit Boulder’s newest brewery and help start a new chapter in the area’s rich brewing history.
